About the Framer

I have been a professional picture framer for over 28 years and have owned and operated du Moulin Gallery since 1998. The gallery was originally established in Annandale in 1994, by artist Paul du Moulin, and we have since moved to Pyrmont.

Before becoming a framer, my career started as a ship and boat builder.  Although I still love sailing, my creative nature and love of craftsmanship drew me to picture framing, and I decided to change career paths. 

 

I thoroughly enjoy the variety of work involved with picture framing. Every piece is different, and each present their own unique challenges.  On any given day, I could be framing a new University degree, a commemorative football jersey, or stretching a canvas. I have framed many private art collections, entire artist exhibitions and a diverse range of corporate work.

I enjoy working closely with clients to choose framing options that complement the artwork and space where it will be displayed. If you're unsure of which style works best, I'm always happy to offer recommendations. My own approach to framing is to use classic and contemporary styles that enhance the piece of art.
